T O P I C R E V I E Wmusic_spaceI was reading an article commemorating "Armageddon," the movie, which came out 20 years ago. Among other trivia (none very flattering towards the movie), one said that for a while, NASA used it as part of its theoretical training, committing astronaut candidates to find "the 168 errors." Not a bad exercise, but apparently, NASA denied. Has anybody else some dope on this?Robert PearlmanMost of the references I can find to this ascribe it to NASA's "management course," not astronaut training. But even that is questionable given the lack of any specific details; all of the accounts I see are generic in nature, with no mention of the center or any responsible individual by name.I'd say this is much more likely an urban legend.Blackarrow"When the legend becomes fact, print the legend!"["The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance"]ManInSpaceA timeless and always favourite quote.Chariot412You can blame me for some Armageddon inaccuracies!
